Won the Grand Prize in the "Social" category at the Dong-A Ilbo K-ESG Management Awards

In October 2024, Solus Advanced Materials won the Grand Prize in the “Social” category at the 2024 Dong-A Ilbo K-ESG Management Awards held at the Plaza Hotel. The company received high scores in the “Social Value Creation (S)” category for its efforts to coexist beneficially with its various stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and local communities. Notably, the company has shown outstanding performance compared to peers of the same size, in areas such as supply chain management that meets international standards, social contributions for mutual growth in the local community, creation of a safe workplace, establishment of human rights policies and a good labor-management culture, training for mutual respect among employees, and operation of an internal reporting system.

Held a Battery Copper Foil and Copper Foil Roadshow in Munich, Germany

In June 2024, Solus Advanced Materials held a road show in Munich, Germany, where Interbattery Europe was being held. The event was an opportunity to introduce the company's battery copper foil and copper foil products, together with its technologies, to major Korean and overseas partners. Solus Advanced Materials exhibited a variety of copper foil and battery copper foil samples ranging from high-end battery copper foil to ultra-thin 2 μm foil for semiconductors, and introduced its products and technologies, global infrastructure, and production plans, which attracted much attention from visitors.

Completion Ceremony for Solus iTech's
Hamyeol Plant

In October 2023, Solus Advanced Materials held a ceremony to mark the completion of its subsidiary Solus iTech's Hamyeol Plant in Iksan, Jeollabuk-do, a plant that was built to produce OLED non-luminescent materials. In its Hamyeol Plant, Solus iTech will be directly producing the raw materials for non-luminescent fillers (high refractive fillers) and encapsulation materials, from sourcing to final products, and will strive to enhance quality and cost efficiency.

Ground-breaking Ceremony for the Battery Copper Foil Production Plant of VESC Canada

In September 2023, Volta Energy Solutions Canada (VESC), a subsidiary of Solus Advanced Materials, held a ground-breaking ceremony for the first battery copper foil plant in Canada. The ceremony was held at the future plant site in Granby, Quebec (Canada), with a number of key government officials in attendance, including Quebec Premier François Legault, Canada's Minister of Innovation, Science and Industry François-Philippe Champagne, and the Korean Ambassador to Canada Lim Woong-soon.

Participation in UBI RESEARCH’s OLED Settlement Seminar for the First Half

At the “OLED Settlement Seminar for the First Half of 2022,” held at COEX, Samsung-dong, Seoul, Korea in June 2022, Lee Jae-hoon, Research Director for Solus Advanced Materials, gave a presentation titled “Solus Advanced Materials' Big Steps to Improve OLED Material Performance.” He explained the core materials of the Electronic Materials Division at Solus Advanced Materials, including patented materials such as hole blocking layer (HBL), hole transport layer (HTL), and QD filler. He also explained the unique competitive edge held by the Electronic Materials Division in improving OLED material performance based on its portfolio diversification, including TFE monomers and QD inks, a new business the Division is currently pursuing.

CFL Copper Foil Division Participates in the PCB Conference Hosted by EIPC

In June 2022, Circuit Foil Luxembourg (CFL), the European subsidiary of Solus Advanced Materials, participated in the European Institute for the PCB Community (EIPC) conference, which was held in Örebro, a city in southern Sweden, on June 14 and 15.
The conference hosted more than 100 experts from material, component, and equipment suppliers, printed circuit board (PCB) manufacturers, and electronics producers to exchange PCB-related technologies.
Dr. Sebastien Depaifve, CFL's representative speaker, introduced the next-generation “Ultra Flat ED Copper Foil,” which can be applied to 5G-6G mobile communications with high-speed and high-frequency signal transmission.

The groundbreaking ceremony for the battery copper foil plant was held in the Tatabánya industrial complex, Hungary on July 23, 2019. <br>

In that ceremony, Szijjártó Péter(Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade), Gyusik Choi(Korea ambassador to Hungary), Hyeonu Dong(Vice chairman of Doosan Corporation) and Yoonsuk Lee (CEO of Doosan Solus co., Ltd.) participated.
